Any Event or Occasion - From small Community Events, to large Gala Balls - the Hotshots Big Band can play them all. In the past we have played for Weddings, Birthdays, Club Get-Togethers, Dances, Private Functions, Opening Ceremonies and even at Local Christmas Events to play Carols
Variety of Music - Because our Band has such a large Repertoire of music, to which we are always adding new songs, the Hotshots Big Band is equipped to play many styles of music - without ever having to repeat ourselves. Local Musicians - Professional Sound. Our Band comprises of Musicians from all over the Atherton Tablelands, Innisfail and Cairns areas. Band members are aged between 20 to well over 60, and we are all proud to be able to have this level of musical quality and talent locally.
Whilst we love to have a good time, and are all from the local community. Hotshots Big Band focuses on being professional. We strive to deliver on what we promise - entertainment value, musical variety and a professional mindset.
In a Nutshell - The Hotshots Big Band is a well-established twenty piece dance band under the direction of Werner Braun. Formerly known as the Atherton Hotshots, the band was started in 1999 by renowned trumpeter Jack Noonan to perfrom at a jazz festival. Since then, the band has evolved to become the only working big band in far North Queensland specialising for dances, balls, weddings, functions, openings, community events and club highlights.
